HOPKINS, SOUTH CAROLINA
A vision for the ponds you help bring to life.
01 / THE OPPORTUNITYStocking is the beginning.≋

A NATURAL NEXT STEP

You stock the pond.
Stay part of its story.

Southland has been helping pond owners make memories since 1980. The next opportunity starts with the trust already there.

From your Hopkins farm to private deliveries and local Fish Days across South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina, every handoff is a chance to help a customer care for what comes next.

You already offer fish food, feeders, and pond maintenance products. Aquonix could complement that existing offer with a carefully selected feed add-on for qualifying stocking orders.

Built around Southland’s real business ↗

THE CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP

One delivery.
More reasons to reconnect.

The right guidance, at the right moment.
A proposed journey that fits the way you work.

01

Select the fish

Understand the pond, stocking goals, species mix, and the owner’s care routine.

SOUTHLAND’S EXPERTISE
02

Make the handoff

Farm pickup, private delivery, or Fish Day: offer a suitable feed sample where appropriate.

OPTIONAL ADD-ON
03

Help them settle in

Share a species-specific feeding plan, with guidance on water conditions and avoiding excess feed.

PRACTICAL CARE
04

Keep in touch

Check in, learn what worked, and offer a refill only when there is a useful reason to reorder.

A LASTING RELATIONSHIP

A POND IS AN ECOSYSTEM

Different fish.
Different needs.

MAKE THE NEXT STEP FEEL NATURAL

A small addition
to the order.
A longer conversation.

“Would you like to try a suitable feed for these fish?”

An invitation, never a requirement. Pair an approved sample with simple instructions, then use a helpful follow-up to understand feeding response, handling, and interest in a refill.

PACKAGING CONCEPTS · NOT FINAL PRODUCTS

DESIGNED TO FEEL RIGHT AT HOME.CONCEPT STUDY / 01

01 / THE FIRST TRY

Small bag.
Thoughtful beginning.

A proposed 1 kg introductory format for qualifying stocking customers. An approachable way to assess interest before asking for a bigger commitment.

1 kg / approximately 2.2 lbs

All sizes, private-label branding, bag materials, labeling, minimum order quantities, and filling options are subject to feasibility and agreement. The larger sack shown is an illustrative 25 kg concept.

AN OPTIONAL REPEAT-PURCHASE OPPORTUNITY

Useful care.
Reasons to return.

A refill can bring a customer back to the farm—or into a conversation about the next Fish Day.

Aquonix feed could sit alongside Southland’s existing Cargill Triton 3606 floating feed and Texas Hunter feeders. Trial the fit, avoid unnecessary inventory, and let customer demand guide the next order.

Suitable sample→Helpful check-in→Optional refill

No exclusivity, resale margin, demand, or performance is assumed. Southland would decide its assortment, customer eligibility, and retail pricing.

START SMALL. LEARN SOMETHING REAL.

A sample-first pilot.
Built to earn the next order.

Proposed starting point
10–20 willing customers · 4–6 weeks

01 / BEFORE THE FIRST BAG

Confirm the fit

Review feed specifications, species and fish size, pellet behavior, shelf life, labeling, landed-cost scope, and packaging feasibility. Have Southland approve a trial plan.

02 / A CONTROLLED START

Sample with care

Offer an optional small sample to selected, suitable pond owners. Record the batch, starting conditions, and instructions. Begin through farm pickup or one delivery route.

03 / FOLLOW THE EVIDENCE

Listen, then decide

Check in at weeks 2 and 4–6. Review acceptance, waste, handling, complaints, refill interest, and actual costs. Pause for poor response; expand only if the trial supports it.

EXPLORE A PILOT ORDER

Small numbers.
Clear assumptions.

Editable planning quantities—not a feeding rate or order commitment. Actual bag quantities may need rounding after packaging is agreed.

CONDITIONAL REFERENCE PRICING
$0.90landed per 2.2 lbs (approx. 1 kg)

For applicable standard feed only. Indicative reference supplied for this proposal; subject to written confirmation of formulation, volume, destination, freight, duties, taxes, and all landed-cost inclusions. Samples and custom packaging may be priced differently.

Planned feed16.5 kg
Reference feed cost$14.85
Quantity × $0.90/kg, using the approximate unit equivalence. Excludes unconfirmed costs and is not a quote.
